Feed, Shelter, Medically Aid & Train unwanted shelter animals throughout Volusia County
We create fishing tournaments, scavenger hunts, live music events and other activities to raise goods/funds/services for unwanted shelter animals and strays throughout the area.
Our GOAL
Continue to grow and expand to become a shelter that can serve the community's pet problem further

Melissa A. Leone
As President & founder of Hearts w/out Homes I handle the ideas to creation
My lifelong love of a fury best friend is what motivated me to start this Charity . Growing up with pets in my house and eventually adopting my own dog as an adult. Currently unable to have pets in my current residence drives me to do the next best thing! My goal is to have a positive impact on the unwanted shelter animals until a time I grow to have a shelter of my own.
I wish I could give all the animals a home

Corey B Simmons
Corey thinks this a good idea because he loves Melissa and he's had a couple dogs & will probably have a few more in the future. Corey spends most of his time in his fishing boat whether its charter fishing or volunteering his time & services, he loves sharing his love for fishing with the community any way he can.

After retiring from a career in the public school system this sweetheart spends her time volunteering with the local youth, at church & with our animal rescue. Kindhearted folks find places to share their time and talents and that's just what Linda loves to do.

Dedicating herself to a life of service only comes natural to Sheryl, helping others has always been most rewarding for this gal. She should be proud of her resume! When you have a big heart you tend to spread love a lil everywhere you go & that best describes Sheryl, she'll tell you herself she's everybody's mama!!

A Musician at heart, this talented guy helps with promotions & handles most of the behind the scenes stuff, although extremely humble this heart of hearts loves to spend his time writing music and performing for special occasions or private fundraising events. Great guy to have on our team

This chickadilla loves to lend a hand. when she's not volunteering her time you can find her tending to her orchid farm or out fishing with her husband on their boat. Her soul is as beautiful as her face & we are lucky to have her as part of our organization. Always willing to fill in whatever's needed, she'll try her best. she's as genuine as they come
